About Cheri
The
Mendocino Coast has been a part of my life since 1977 when I arrived here
and felt at home with the area and ocean. My daughter, Jamie, who now attends
college in Santa Barbara, was born here and went through the schools in
Mendocino. I have a local history that goes back almost 30 years, so I have
a geographical knowledge of the area and neighborhoods that few other Realtors
have.
I became a Realtor in 1988 and upgraded my license
to Real Estate Broker in 1993. I served as president of
the Coastal Mendocino Association of Realtors,(CMAR) in
1996 and subsequently as Chair of the Multiple Listing
Service (MLS). Serving as Secretary for the last 10 years and staying
active on my local board has kept me in touch with current real estate
issues. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Cancer Resource
Center, the Mendocino historical cemetary board, and I'm a Soroptomist.
I have personally been through the coastal and
inland building processes, from permits to final inspections, and understand
the chronology of taking a raw piece of land and making it a home. I feel
this hands-on knowledge makes me better equipped to help my clients achieve
their goals.
My strengths are problem solving, negotiating,
maintaining an excellent rapport with the other agents on the Coast, and
the ability to see the positive side of situations. I enjoy working with
people and I feel fortunate that my work has led me to many new friends
who were former clients.
